This free ESL PowerPoint board game for online classes or smartboards was made to accompany the Super Simple song Do You Like Broccoli Ice Cream?. Use it in your ESL classes with young learners to review the following vocabulary:
- broccoli
- ice cream
- donut
- juice
- popcorn
- pizza
- banana
- soup
Game rules:
The students are divided into two teams. The teams move across the board according to the numbers they get on the dice. In order to stay on the space their piece landed on, the team needs to name the food on that space. If there are instructions on the space, the team needs to follow them. The first team to reach the FINISH space wins the game.
Instructions (for the teacher):
- Put the presentation in SlideShow mode.
- Roll the dice by playing and stopping the dice video.
- To make the red piece appear on a space, click the lower-left corner of the space. To make the red piece disappear, click on the red piece.
- To make the blue piece appear on a space, click the lower-right corner of the space. To make the blue piece disappear, click on the blue piece.
